 Dorr, Lawrence

 Medical Director of the Arthritis Institute, 

 Los Angeles, USA

is a nationally and internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon, known for this accomplishments in developing total hip and knee replacement systems, innovative minimally invasive surgical approaches and basic research on human bone dynamics. Dr. Dorr founded The Arthritis Institute in February 2001 and has been its Medical Director since then, performing more than 3,500 hip and knee replacements in the past decade. Prior to that he established the Arthritis Service at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in 1983, and later founded the Center for Arthritis and Joint Implant Surgery at the University Hospital at the University of Southern California in 1992.

Dr. Dorr served as the President of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, or AAHKS, from 1993 to 1994 and is the incoming President of the Hip Society in November 2007. Dr. Dorr received the Lifetime Humanitarium Award from the AAOS for Operation Walk in 2005.

Dr. Dorr earned his medical degree and master's degree from the University of Iowa. He completed his residency at the L.A. County-University of Southern California Medical Center, where he later served as a full-time teaching member of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Southern California.


ElSahy, Nabil

Graduated from Ain Shams University. He did his internship in Bradford Royal ‎Infirmary in England and residency in Winnipeg Canada, he then practiced plastic ‎surgery in Canada. ‎

He was hired as a professor in plastic surgery at the medical college of Georgia as well as chief of plastic surgery at V.A. Hospitals in the U.S.A. He is the C.E.O. Of the plastic surgicenter in Atlanta, in the U.S.A., Dokki, and Maadi in Egypt.

Dr. ElSahy is an active member in many American, Canadian and international societies. Dr. ElSahy has over one hundred original papers published in international journals of plastic surgery.

Recently he published two text books on plastic surgery of the nose and the ears respectively.

Was born in Egypt and currently resides in America. He has received his BS in Physical Therapy from Cairo University (Egypt, 1985) and is also a graduate of the Canadian College of Osteopathy (Canada 2007). Hesham has had extensive postgraduate training in Fascia, Global Osteopathic Approach, Cranial Manipulations, and Visceral Manipulations by the top leading professors in Osteopathy in Canada, U.S.A., and U.K.

He is an active member of the World Osteopathic Health Organization, and The Chicago Cranial Study Group since 2008, as well as leads a growing bi-weekly study group (Paulson Rehabilitation Center - Willowbrook Global Manual Approach) designed specifically for PT’s. Hesham is currently the researcher as well as the thesis writer of a project in Canada and Egypt, “Fascia as a Global Osteopathic Approach”.

He has presented both locally and internationally, on various Global Manual Osteopathic Approach topics in the U.S.A., Egypt, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Hesham has been promoting Global Osteopathic approach to the Middle East Arab countries since 2005 also he is the founder of the 1st Osteopathic society (EOS- Cairo) in the Middle East area. After basic surgical training he undertook 6 years of orthopaedic specialist rotation trained on all orthopaedic subspecialties. Upon completion of the general orthopaedic training he was awarded a subspecialised orthopaedic fellowship in upper limb surgery for 12 months at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, one of the most prestigious group of hospitals in UK and well known hospitals worldwide.

Dr. Dicky Mulyadi was born in Jakarta on August 16th 1963. He completed his MD in 1989 from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Padjadjaran. After completing medical school, he worked as a Head of
Community Health Center at Cirebon city until 1996. He took orthopaedic surgery residency training in Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Faculty of Medicine Universitas Padjadjaran from 1999 until 2001. After became an orthopaedic surgeon in 2001, he went to Chonnam National University in South Korea as a fellow in Adult Reconstruction until 2002.

Now, he works as a Head of Department Orthopaedi and Traumatology Faculty of Medicine Universitas Padjadjaran from 2014. He was appointed as President of ASEAN Arthroplasty Association in 2013-2014. He also had been a General Secretary of Asia Pacific Knee Society in 2010, and became Vice Chairman of Indonesian Hip and Knee Society in 2012. Dr. Dicky has published articles about acetabular revision using acetabular roof reinforcement ring with a hook on journal of hip and knee, and journal of arthroplasty. In his practice, he operates mainly on arthitis degenerative, inflammatory,
avascular necrosis, dysplastic hip, post traumatic, tumours, hereditary disorders.

Dr. Dicky is Certified Board member of the Indonesian College of Orthopaedic and Traumatology. He is also member of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Association (APAS), Indonesian Society for Sport Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ISSKA).

He was appointed to the Nepean Hospital in 1997 as a VMO and continues to provide a specialty practice in both primary and complex revision joint reconstruction, knee and hip replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery and ligament reconstruction as well as a trauma service for a busy regional trauma centre.

He is currently Head of Department at Nepean Hospital in Penrith with appointments also to Nepean Private Hospital and Macquarie University Private Hospital. His academic appointments include Adjunct Associate Professor of surgery Sydney University. Dr Sorial has lectured extensively on the wide topics of joint replacement and reconstruction both nationally and internationally and has participated in demonstration surgeries locally and overseas to advance and share surgical skills particularly within the Asia Pacific Region.

He was awarded a visiting professorship through Sichuan University for his work in West China Hospital, Chengdu and is currently the President of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society.
