Dr. Blaha is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan. During his studies, Dr. Blaha earned the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor through the Medical Society. Following medical school, he completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Michigan and then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Arthritis Surgery at the London Hospital Medical College & Bone & Joint Research Unit. After the completion of his fellowship, Dr. Blaha joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor (1980-1983) in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at West Virginia University and went on to hold the following positions there: Associate Professor (1983-1991) Graduate Faculty (1989-2002) Chief (1980-2002) Chairman (1991-2002) Resident Program Director (1991-2002) In 2002, he joined the faculty at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems in the Division of Adult Lower Extremity Reconstruction. His research interests include primary and revision total lower extremity joint arthroplasty, knee kinematics, total knee arthroplasty design and function, total hip arthroplasty design and function, the biomechanical basis for implant osseointegration. Dr. Blaha is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an active member in multiple societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association, Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, Association for Bone and Joint Surgeons, Michigan Orthopaedic Society, Hip Society, Knee Society, Orthopaedic Research Society.

Graduated from Ain Shams University. He did his internship in Bradford Royal ‎Infirmary in England and residency in Winnipeg Canada, he then practiced plastic ‎surgery in Canada. ‎

He was hired as a professor in plastic surgery at the medical college of Georgia as well as chief of plastic surgery at V.A. Hospitals in the U.S.A. He is the C.E.O. Of the plastic surgicenter in Atlanta, in the U.S.A., Dokki, and Maadi in Egypt.

Dr. ElSahy is an active member in many American, Canadian and international societies. Dr. ElSahy has over one hundred original papers published in international journals of plastic surgery.

Recently he published two text books on plastic surgery of the nose and the ears respectively.

Having graduated from Medicine in 1978, Prof. Dr. M. Amjad Hossain has pursued his career in the field of orthopedics and completed his MS from National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation, University of Dhaka in 1986. Throughout life, he has relentlessly devoted his time and efforts to serve the orthopedic department of various institutions. With the growing concern of the world, he has started working on the treatment of osteoporosis for elderly population and devoted himself to establish arthroplasty surgery in Rheumatoid, Osteoporosis and Degenerative arthritis affecting and disabling patients.

He had pursued specialized foreign fellowship in the field of Joint Replacement and had been trained extensively at various centre. Recently he has been trained in USA; Particularly with Prof. C.S Ranawat at Hospital for Special Surgery at Newyork, who is the designer & also famous Hip & Knee surgeon of the world. He has also trained himself in Re-constructive Hand & Trauma Surgery. He has been the author of many publications/articles published in different journals. He is the member of AAOS (American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons), SICOT, BJD and member of Asia Pacific arthroplasty society.

Of particular note, he actively took part in the War of Liberation in 1971 and served for the treatment of war injured and disabled freedom fighters as an honorary adviser to Bangladesh Freedom Fighter Welfare Trust. His sense of social responsibilities has inspired him to build Amana Baki Residential Model School, under AB Foundation, Chirirbandar in Dinajpur. The performance of the school has already drawn the attention of all concerned in that region. With the co-operation of progressive sectors, he has dedicated his passions and thoughts under the shadow of AB foundation to usher the new hope in this underprivileged portion of our society.

He was trained in Sydney and completed Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993. He undertook two further years of subspecialty training in hip and knee surgery including fellowships in Phoenix and Boston and further training in London before returning to a senior lecturer post at the Royal North Shore Hospital in 1996.

He was appointed to the Nepean Hospital in 1997 as a VMO and continues to provide a specialty practice in both primary and complex revision joint reconstruction, knee and hip replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery and ligament reconstruction as well as a trauma service for a busy regional trauma centre.

He is currently Head of Department at Nepean Hospital in Penrith with appointments also to Nepean Private Hospital and Macquarie University Private Hospital. His academic appointments include Adjunct Associate Professor of surgery Sydney University. Dr Sorial has lectured extensively on the wide topics of joint replacement and reconstruction both nationally and internationally and has participated in demonstration surgeries locally and overseas to advance and share surgical skills particularly within the Asia Pacific Region.

He was awarded a visiting professorship through Sichuan University for his work in West China Hospital, Chengdu and is currently the President of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society.
